Red Olive® became official in 1999. The founding partners Randall Gorham and Matthew Moeller met while attending the ICC web developer certification program at the University of Utah. Little known fact, we started as a two-man show working out of our basements back in 97 under the lamest name ever for a web design company, Trik Tek. How many domains do you think that took to cover the possible miss-spellings. Not to mention how forgettable the name was. We settled on Red Olive because it was creative and most importantly memorable. Even many years later we have clients that still remember us by name. Guess the mental image of a "red olive" sticks. Randall has since left our team to create a very successful home automation and theater company.
In 2006 Vince Stinson, a bay area creative, moved to town named and joined the team. He brought with him a wealth of agency experience and ten years of print and graphic design talent. Vince also acts as our ambassador to all social events and has served on multiple boards. Vince is currently a partner at Red Olive.
Over the years we have evolved into a full service web design, print, and SEO firm. Along the way, we have picked up some of the best talent around. We continue to grow consistently every year and remain one of the best values per dollar spent. We are committed to staying a relatively small close knit company, as our lives and our work are enriched daily by not conforming to the bureaucracy/numbness that comes with becoming a large firm.
