Neglect the Point Of Purchase at Your Peril
Imagine it: you have the perfect product with amazingly-designed packaging surrounding it and incredibly-designed print and web stuff promoting it. From a design standpoint, your mission is accomplished, right?
Not quite. Don't forget that your point-of-purchase (PoP) needs great design too. Now, obviously, we're talking about retail selling here and not online selling, but an eye-grabbing, head-turning display for your product can spur people to make impulse purchases and really boost your sales.
Red Olive: PoP that Pops
A unique PoP piece is much more complex than, say, a poster. For one thing, it's three-dimensional and requires actual construction. For another thing, because of its 3-D nature, it has multiple areas that need design. For still another thing, it must be able to hold sufficient numbers of the product.
In other words, great PoP design requires a lot more know-how and experience than the average designer has. Good thing that there's nothing average about the Red Olive design team.
