We recently completed a new logo for Sidekix! A toy company that makes little stuffed animals that zip into a ball, and can be clipped together or onto a backpack. WAY FUN! Next up – Business cards and website. Which stuffed animals would you think would be cool for them to develop?

Red Olive was invited to be part of the Art Institute of Salt Lake City Professional Advisory Committee (PAC). This committee meets twice a year and reviews the schools facilities, curriculum, and student work to determine how well they are meeting professional needs and trends within the Graphic Design community and/or what they can improve in.

Thinking about getting into the design biz and need to learn how? Take a look at Art Institute of Salt Lake City. Great resources at this school, a library any designer would kill for. A top notch computer lab and access to printers I only dreamed about in school. They are adding new resources everyday based on the needs of the students. The teachers really seem to care about the students, if you put in the extra work you will get extra opportunities to do some great work. A lot has changed since I graduated from the Art Institute of Colorado, but so has this industry. Thanks guys for letting us be involved.

The Salt Lake City Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is working to better the lives of those facing breast cancer in the local community joining more than 1 million breast cancer survivors and activists around the globe as part of the world’s largest and most progressive grassroots network fighting breast cancer. Red Olive was asked to design all the collateral for the 2010 race including registrations brochures, invites, posters, newspaper advertisements, billboards, and banners. This has been a great project for a great cause, look for update on our blog after the race on May 8th, Brad, Melissa, Justin and Sarah from our office will be participating in the race.

Vince and Brad made an appearance on KUTV 2 News this morning with Casey. A PR gig to help promote the upcoming Utah Addys Awards, we had a little fun with the other creative agencies in Salt Lake. This years project was creating ad campaigns to control the negative press surrounding Tiger Woods, Balloon Boys Dad, and John Gosslin. Brad was on team Manic Project, and Vince headed up team “Butt crack of dawn”. If nothing else watch video #3 “Vince Spin Move”. “Oh what an entrance” Vince refuses to admit it but, he’s not an ambi-turner, he can’t turn left.

Empower Kids, Inc. is a non-profit organization that helps put safety programs into Utah schools to help protect children against abduction, bullying, and sexual predators.

Red Olive design, a utah website design firm located in South Jordan, crafted a stunning new look and feel for the wonderful staff at Mity Lite.

Mity lite is the leading manufacturer in lightweight tables, folding chairs, stacking chairs, etc. They came to Red Olive with a goal in mind, and that goal was to enhance their web presence so that they looked like the leading manufacturer.

Red Olive Polishes Up Dannon Online Coupon Look

Just another reason to head to the web when you are looking for deals – print coupons are big time. Dannon’s line of Light & Fit® products are on sale with a quick link and printout of their online coupon – a generous 1 dollar off coupon that has recently been brushed up by our tenacious gaggle of Utah graphic designers.

We kept it in line with their Light & Fit® look but with an added bit of flash element and cumbersome image positioning. I like the way the sunburst shine emanates while rolling over some of the buttons — although I am easily distracted by shiny things.

We expect to find smaller versions of this placed intermittently throughout the web with fitness sites that Dannon coordinates this promotion with. It’s basically going to be bannered along margins of lucky partners in various web ad campaigns.

Red Olive® is happy to see their little touches on a national scale.
