Red Olive Wins Gold in the 2011 National Addy Awards!

The national Addy awards are in, and Red Olive secured a gold for our work on The Chork project.

Why does this mean anything? The American Advertising Federation Addy's is a real world, tangible competition with renowned agencies competing, award ceremonies, judged by experts at top firms in the industry, and is hosted by a real entity, the AAF. Wining amongst your peers in the local Addys is rewarding but competing on a national level is the pinnacle. We work long hours and tirelessly hone our craft and it is very appreciated when we are recognized on this level for it. Great work guys!

Twitter and Facebook – profile and brand searching

Twitter and Facebook, profile and brand search volume numbers. I was curious to know if more people search for Twitter profiles versus Facebook profiles. For example, do more people search Google for "Lebron James Twitter" or "Lebron James Facebook?" I have attached the charts and data below. I pulled the numbers using Google's search tools.

(Keep in mind, at the time of this post, Lebron has 4,182,092 likes on Facebook and only 1,019,650 followers on Twitter. So despite higher search volume for Lebron's Twitter account, far more people are following him via Facebook. If the current search volume numbers hold, I suspect Lebron's Twitter following will start to catch up.)

One of our clients, TSA Motorsports, just dropped off the 1/12th scale r/c model of their Baja trophy truck. Couple months back we signed a release so they could use our logo as a sponsor on the truck and have been waiting patiently to see / drive the finished product. Pretty cool seeing your design work immortalized on real Baja trophy truck but somehow even cooler on a remote control version. Probably safe to say this is the last remote control car to ever bear the Red Olive mark. Thanks again for the opportunity to be creative and be apart of such a cool brand.

We recently completed a new logo for Sidekix! A toy company that makes little stuffed animals that zip into a ball, and can be clipped together or onto a backpack. WAY FUN! Next up - Business cards and website. Which stuffed animals would you think would be cool for them to develop?

What do you get when you combine chopsticks with a fork? The Chork. Red Olive had the opportunity to work on this cool project from the get go, it's great when we can start with a clean slate and design a strong foundation from the start. Our creatives finished up the logo, print collateral, packaging, web site, and multiple marketing ads just this week. Check it out.

Empower Kids, Inc. is a non-profit organization that helps put safety programs into Utah schools to help protect children against abduction, bullying, and sexual predators.

Red Olive was honored to help further the cause by donating our creative talent on the Empower Kids new logo.

Cluster Resources and Red Olive partner for New Venture

Red Olive, a utah web design firm located in South Jordan, recently was hired by Cluster Resources to perform some identity and web design work for their new business venture. Work that will be carried out will be 3 logos, one for their new sister company, one for the operating environment of their product , and one for their product. In addition to the logos, Red Olive will have the opportunity to design their new website.

Since 2001, Cluster Resources, Inc. has been a leading provider in the workload and resource management software and services for cluster, grid and utility-based computing environments.

All of us here at Red Olive are excited to be working with such a great company.
